Formula One legend Michael Schumacher is spending his time helping to develop the latest Ferrari Fezza model called the Ferrari California (also known as the 430 Scuderia). He has been working with engineers at the lxuury car maker since the concept stage of the car.
According to Schumacher, he said that working with the car has been great fun.
I can’t see much from the photo, but since the seven time world champion is involved, I’m guessing that it’s going to be a sports model that will be capable of monster acceleration and crazy top speeds.
The car is currently in testing and will debut at the 2008 Paris International Motor Show.

Yesterday’s German Grand Prix has been won by Hamilton, who was so fast that he made everyone else look like they were driving a pickup truck.
I think he’s going through a hot streak, continuing his impressive performance after the rainy British Grand Prix two weeks ago at the Silverstone circuit.
The turning point of the race happened when Timo Glock’s car had a spectacular crash after suffering suspension failure. The safety car was brought out and most teams chose that moment to pit and refuel to the end of the race.
Hamilton stayed on track, and there are hints that this was due to a tactical error.
Nonetheless, after his pit stop he was relegated to fourth position but fought his way back to the lead, passing Massa in an impressive overtaking move.
No one else could catch him after that.
I can’t wait for the next race!

According to New Car Net, Hyundai has developed a new economical engine that promises to improve petrol economy, light weight, and green. The engine will emit 119g/km of carbon dioxide.
The new engine is scheduled to be released in the Hyundai i10 and i20, and will appear first in India.
I hope this engine can make its debut here in Kuala Lumpur. It will be an attractive alternative to save petrol, especially since it promises fuel efficiency of almost 20km/l, which is almost as good as the Honda City.
I wonder how much the car will cost. If it costs under RM60,000 it will be an attractive alternative to the Perodua range of light weight cars.

I read in the news that the Super Aguri Formula One team is up for auction.
Imagine owning your own F1 team.
If I owned this team, I would make myself the lead driver! I would quit my job and tour around the world with my very own Formula One team.
Imagine rubbing shoulders with Raikonnen, Massa and Hamilton. They would probably lap me a hundred times before I finish the race though…
Anyway, Super Aguri has become insolvent and this auction is selling off one race car, various transports and what looks like several pieces of racing technology.
You can read all about it (and even participate) in the Super Aguri Online Auction.
If I were a tycoon, I would be very interested in this.
But I’m not :P

There was a horrible jam at the Federal highway this morning. A journey that usually takes 20 minutes took an hour. Some of my colleagues coming from Klang and Shah Alam were stuck up to 2 hours.
What is the cause of this jam? The radio announcer says that it is a road block. A road block for what? Apparently it is politically motivated.
There is an attempt to bar certain parties from gathering at the parliament building, so they put up roadblocks in all major roads leading into KL city centre.
Is this wise? Only the power that be have the answer.
I looked around me as I was stuck in the traffic jam, and I saw angry faces, tired faces… I wonder what they were thinking.
Most of us were already late for work, but I’m happy to say that people still kept their cool.
The news says that the roadblocks could last the whole day. An entire day of traffic chaos, for what?
You tell me.

I recently renewed my road tax online, and I found it convenient because I do not have time to go to JPJ or the post office.
You have to pay an extra RM6 for delivery in KL, and RM2.75 for online processing fees.
Before you renew your road tax, you must have renewed your car insurance first.
Here’s how you can do it:
- Login to MyEG (sometimes the website will be down, try again later)
- Click on the ‘Renew Road Tax’ link at the right sidebar
- Fill in your personal and car particulars
- Go through the credit card payment process
- Print the receipt
- Wait for delivery. The courier will give you a call before delivery.
I found it really quick, convenient and simple. I submitted my transaction on Saturday afternoon, and it was delivered on Monday evening!

Hello!
This is a new blog, written for Malaysian drivers.
My name is Mr D, and I’m your typical KL Driver. I own a locally made Proton car, and I drive grudgingly around KL city each day during rush hour.
I hope to share with you some interesting posts about cars in a Malaysian context.
